Molly Beth
Molly and I found one another on IG. She’s in the region and was looking for engagements. I looked at her profile and was convinced. She’d requested a deposit and I don’t do them. It took a bit of conversation to make it all work but we did.
I liked her energy right away. Molly showed up ready to go. I decided we should shoot in the outdoor space first. She was wearing a great casual outfit, and we started there. She started posing with passion immediately. Great expressions. Dramatic poses. Molly brought energy and drama to the work so I played into that. Our first shots produced a mix of color and B/W work. From there, we moved into the stairwell for more natural light captures. Again, nice drama and grace. We ended up in the studio with a more glamourous three-light setup, and finished against the white wall with a single light to create some shadows for B/W. It was a great day.
The Takeaway: Molly is a great example of an experienced and more mature model. She’s50, but you would never know it from her energy and her form. She opened with drama, and you can see it right away in frame 17.
Drama to Casual
Gave me a totally different feel almost immediately in 50.
Let’s Get Physical
Molly got physical again, and one of my fave shots in this shoot is 153. I was shooting down steeply from above and she engaged perfectly with the object she’s tugging on and the camera. She is looking right at you.
She’s Got
I set up some standard lighting when we got into the studio, and got a beautiful snag of her that shows her physically fit look in frame 984.
Molly headed for the leaves for some excellent poses that I rendered in both color and B/W for example frames 247 and 248. Hey, sometimes you have to do both.
Angles, Lines. and Curves
We headed for the stairwell next and I love capture 823 for the beautiful light balance andher angular pose.
Lovely and Fit
Frame 1104 was shot with a single light against the white bricks, and this capture also shows off her trim figure.
