Molly and I found one another on IG. She’s in the region and was looking for engagements. I looked at her profile and was convinced. She’d requested a deposit and I don’t do them. It took a bit of conversation to make it all work but we did.

Lexi was on tour and shooting at the New Hampshire studio I frequent, and it reminded meof how fortunate I am to have a connection to traveling professional models.

I first met Leash at a photographer/model mixer, and she was great to talk to. Leash had worked with a few photographers there, and they all spoke highly of her, so we set up a shoot at my studio. I also invited Ron M, another photographer buddy that I have known for years.

Inna is professional and I knew right away that our time would be productive. She arrived on time, which is always appreciated, with a small suitcase. As we settled in, we talked about her modeling activity. Inna is a professional traveling model; it’s what she does. I like working with people who are strictly focused on modeling because they “get it.” A confident, experienced model settles in quickly, asks questions, understands the answers ,and engages. It’s easy and efficient.

This is my first shoot with Ayeonna. One of the first things I noticed about her as we startedshooting out on the stairwell was her self-awareness in posing. This look was all naturallight and mostly B/W. We got some great captures there.

Sarah and I connected on Instagram. We talked about shooting and struggled a little at first over the details. For example, she required a deposit for the shoot, which some models do.I won’t pay a deposit. As is often the case, some good discussion cleared things up, we compromised and were able to schedule.

She was the model at a local winter group shoot. In these types of events, a small group of photographers pays a flat fee for the afternoon, and each takes turns shooting for about 3-5mins.
