Quiet Introspection

Karly came to me because she wanted to do something to make her feel beautiful again. She’d had some serious medical issues and related surgery. This is not the first or only time I’ve had someone approach me for this reason. We shot together a couple of times in 2011. These are from the first session we did, and happened to be outdoors.

Nature’s Embrace

Acceptance

It was a pretty big deal for Karly to decide to not only model, but to pose nude. Working with me was the first or second experience for her. It was a stretch, to be sure, but the more she relaxed into it, the easier and more familiar it became.

In Ruins

There is a particular spot I like to shoot in outdoors. I liked the perspective here, and like the crumbling stone walls, Karly’s hands were her protection.

Abandon

By the time we were finishing up, Karly was comfortable with the experience. Here, she is enjoying the rubble of the old property and just being physically nude and emotionally naked.
