Lexi

Lexi was on tour and shooting at the New Hampshire studio I frequent, and it reminded me of how fortunate I am to have a connection to traveling professional models.

Lexi and I started with some standard main/fill lighting against the dark blue wall. She’s very experienced, and I’d asked for standard glamour work with lingerie, undressing to nude foreach look. I knew that she does this kind of work all the time, and it was one of those fun shoots where I can just get started and say, “Ok, it’s all you.” We shot two sets in the larger studio, and that went very well. After a bit we moved on to shoot boudoir in the bed room set.

The Takeaway

Lexi mixed it up nicely. Frame 22 is a nice reveal of her figure, and she engages you well with a great smile and pose. Simple lighting works great for this, so amain/fill setup was easy. I like this because the model really can’t go wrong as she mixes different poses.

Cheeky

You can see in frame 58 that she is fully lit in this lovely cute&sexy pose, but the delicate shadows under her face are perfect enough for a great headshot.

Straight On

I asked her to get down low, and I shot straight on at her level to grab 242.

Nailed It

Number 88 is one of my faves from this shoot, as the lighting is just right and her pose is solid. The detail? Look at her nails. Perfect hands.

She’s Catchy

Finally, I couldn’t resist a final headshot with frame 277, and I love the catchlights in her eyes in that image.

Positive Negative

I love her look in frame 238, again with a lovely face and hand combination, and shooting this as landscape and leaving negative space on the left balanced the image nicely. Lexi was so engaging..
