Sophia
I worked with Sophia at the New Hampshire studio I sometimes shoot in, where they regularly feature traveling professional models you can reserve shooting time with. I benefit here working with professional traveling models who would otherwise be out of my local market.
At the time of our shoot, Sophia was wearing braces and so kept a tight smile throughout the shoot. It didn’t detract from her look, with those big brown eyes and matching brunette hair. I decided that we would start in the boudoir setting, and all of the colors were warm and welcoming. We started with clothed shots and worked quickly to nude and on to erotic.Sophia is comfortable in that genre and we got some great captures of each look. Next we moved into the larger studio, starting in the corner of bright yellow walls. She was wearing black there, and the contrast was engaging. We moved on from there and shot against green and blue backgrounds, since she had some nice color matches with the clothes she’d brought. Sophia had plenty of poses, was relaxed and confident, and a pleasure to work with.
Color Me Strong
Contrasting and analogous colors are both good looks for different reasons. In frame 023, the colors are strong and analogous. I think that in these cases, the feel of the shot is that everything fits.
Yellow and Warm
Looking at frame 111, it is the opposite effect where there is contrast between the yellow wall and the black outfit.
Cool Tile
Frame 182 is neither, where the background is solid and cool, and her skin is warm against it. In the first two of these images, you can see that the reflection of the wall color makesSophia’s skin tone warmer, and in 182 that isn’t happening. The effects are different, and each is interesting to me.
