Kate

Angles and Lines

This was early in the shoot, my first with Kate. One of the things that struck me about her as we started was that while her poses were graceful and easy, her eye contact through the lens was intense. In this capture, I love the way she pops out of the dark with her intense top. Her arms and hair frame her face so well.

Quiet Intensity

Another B/W with Kate. She looks so thoughtful, almost in despair. I like the way that the edges of the wooden bench create a sharp right angle but her right arm and leg break that up. I also love the way that her arms form a triangle that ends at her right hand, leading to her face.

Tips and Tones

I happened to have a pair of sunglasses that just matches her jacket so well. The warm color of the wooden bench pulls nicely with her hair. It’s interesting that she is on her toes and fingertips.

White Glove

I love the soft colors and textures here. Her hand pose wouldn’t be what I would want, except that in this case the soft white glove takes all of the masculinity out of that hand. Her gaze into the lens is direct but feels soft and easy.

Classic Nude

I love natural light B/W nudes. Kate is so comfortable and capable with this work. I like the graceful sweep of her form from tip to top, and the light from that large source provides excellent shadowing to bring that grace to life. Her face is perfect. The cracked paint. All good.

You will find fashion, and nude sets from this shoot in my Patreon store as they are posted.
