Tight Shot

Every once in a while I will shoot very close. This mostly depends on my subject. If she has smooth, young skin, and has done a decent job with makeup, I’ll give it a shot. I think Asia was in her early 20s for this shoot. It all worked. She has a great smile here, and the catchlights are perfect.

Hey, It’s Me

What I like most about this shot is that she is confident and seems to be having fun. Of course, she has a lovely figure as well.

Lion’s Mane

In this nude, her form is bracketed by the leather chaise and the green wall, with her pose fitting right in. But what I love about this shot is the way that her mane of hair just pops.

Dangerous Curves

Here is where skim or rim light is important. Without it, her bottom wouldn’t be interesting. A hint of rim light not only define the profile but also each cheek. It balances the highlights on her smiling face. The black outfit and stool cover are not an accident.

Wrinkled Sheets

The sheets are certainly not the subject here, but the texture created there adds interest. This is another example of my signature shot from a ladder with the big natural light source in this industrial space.
